Château Lynch Bages liegt auf dem Bages-Plateau oberhalb des Örtchens Pauillac und der Gironde. Seit 1973 ist Château Lynch Bages im Besitz von Jean-Michel Cazes, der einen großen Teil seiner Jugend in den USA verbracht hat und das Gut offensiv, selbstbewußt, innovativ und sehr klug leitet und nach außen vertritt. Eine seiner wichtigsten Entscheidungen war, Daniel Llose als Leiter zu engagieren, der Edelstahlgärtanks anschaffte und die Weinbereitung modernisieren ließ und ihm so den Platz unter den Ersten seiner Appellation sicherte.
